"I want to thank you for inspiring me to bring the beauty of local nutritional and medicinal plants into my daily life and encouraging this in the lives of others!"

"I appreciate that you encouraged me to look for nourishment in every situation!!"

"This apprenticeship has brought a lot of joy not only to me, but to my family as well."

"Thank -you so very much for sharing your wisdom with us-I feel I was given a glimpse into an abundant fertile living green world."

"It was lovely to get your newsletter.  I am especially pleased to get the directions for the comfrey poultice, my mother is having knee surgery and she agreed that if I made some she would try them!"

"What a journey it has been into the herbal world!  My original intention for the monthly apprenticeship was to use the learning as a vehicle to make changes in my life.  I'm pleased to say that after 9 months, I *have* made positive changes and I've incorporated them in small enough steps that I will be able to maintain the lifestyle change."

"Thanks again for coming out here to teach.  It was great! I really appreciate the way you are able to hold the space and attention of everyone."

"My Christmas present to my coworkers this year was home-made feta and was that EVER fun!! Thanks to YOU!!!"
"I am stuffed full and quite content - thank you for the excellent meal and community!"

"The class has been a remarkable experience for me- it has opened me up to new ways of looking at my own health, healing, learning, my relationship/responsibility to the earth and the opportunity that I have to participate/live in a more balanced and intentional way."

"I loved every step of the (apprenticeship) process.  It was so amazing to understand, hands on, how the earth takes care of us if we take care of and pay attention to her.  I also think of how I grew during those few months.  I definitely learned how to communicate more honestly and how important it is to recognize and voice my own needs and wants."

"Thanks again for your help.  I'm greatly enjoying your products!"

"I realize now that I am the driver of my healthcare; through herbs, nourishing foods, mild tinctures, and only from a place of centeredness and clarity, do I employ western medicine's tools.  I am grateful that you offered me the resources to make this enlivening shift."

"I loved your class. It, and you, were so inspiring."- cheese making student

"I think of you often in the process of making cheese or using the milk for the various fantastic things one can do with it.  Thanks again for all your help, teaching and encouragement in the life that I am now living. I'm so glad to be out of the city and close to life."

Programs are facilitated by herbalist and wild food enthusiast Linda Conroy. Linda dedicates her life to connecting with the green world. Linda has completed two herbal and shamanic apprenticeship programs, has a certificate in permaculture design (offered through the Earth Activist Program), a degree in social work, has studied as well as practiced compassionate communication for close to a decade and is the founder of Moonwise Herbs as well as Wild Eats: A Movement to Promote Whole and Wild Foods in Community. Linda's work with whole and wild foods has inspired others to create similar offerings in their community.

Linda is a regular presenter at a variety of events and programs including Bastyr University, Evergreen State College: Sustainability and Herbal Conferences, Wild Edible and Primitive skills gatherings, The Northwest Herbal Faire, The Women of Wisdom Conference, the Everyday Goddess Conference, Milwaukee Ostara Gathering, Maywood Nature Center, The University of Wisconsin, Sheboygan, The University of Washington and North Seattle Community Colleges. Participants in these programs walk away with an appreciation for the natural world as well skills for incorporating plants into their daily life. Linda is a vibrant woman who continually seeks to deepen her connection to the green world!

"My approach to herbalism is my approach to life. Connecting with the deep nourishment and wisdom of the feminine-(the feminine being the non-linear, wise order of the natural world) is the foundation of my life and work. I am continually in awe of the perfect order of things when I do not intervene and let nature take it’s course. I believe that true relationship with the natural world invites curiosity and introspection. I often find myself asking profound questions that help to formulate my ever-evolving approach to life.  A few years ago I found myself asking regularly, do I trust that life leans toward health? And the continual answer is yes, if it is allowed. So in the wise woman way, I like to allow health, by creating connection with the whole: whole foods, whole plants and whole people."
